Aquasol ASW-60/R-31 water soluble paper roll provides an excellent barrier to retain noble gases, such as argon & helium within the weld zone during TIG welding of stainless steel and aluminium pipes. This easy-to-store, non-toxic paper is ideal for the nuclear, petrochemical and food & beverage industries.
Features:
- Aquasol water soluble paper is made of 100% bio-degradable composition of sodium carboxyl methyl cellulose and wooden pulp.
- Its simple construction fits pipes of an inner diameter of 4 inches or greater.
- This water-soluble paper dissolves easily and leaves no residue in the pipeline.
Compatible Accessories:
- Water Soluble Tapes: These 300 feet tapes secure the paper to the inner pipe wall to obtain an air-tight seal.

Q. Does this paper roll dissolve in cold water?
A. Aquasol water soluble paper dissolves in both hot and cold water. However, the rate of dissolvability decreases with the water temperature.
Q. What is the flash point of this paper?
A. 450 degrees F.
Q. How to install this water soluble paper?
A.
- Trace the pipe's inner diameter by pressing paper along the pipe edge and then fold it to form a 90-degree angle.
- Cut a circle out of the paper that is roughly one-third the diameter of the pipe around the impression.
- Slit 1 to 2-inch (approximately) segments perpendicularly to the impression on paper without exceeding the inner diameter circle.
- Fold the segments inwards along the inner diameter at 90 degrees to form the purge dam's skirt.
- Cut Aquasol water soluble tapes into pieces and position them on the circumference for sealing.
