Working Mechanism

  • They feature two sets of jaws that measure the diameters or distances related to workpieces.
  • Once switched ON, these jaws are positioned into the cavity to be measured and are opened by sliding the measuring assembly.
  • The digital display reads the distance between the measuring points of the object.
  • The jaws of these caliper are then locked in position with a slide lock for measuring the value.

Features

  • They feature an impact-resistant, easy-to-read LCD with superior durability and large character height (9.0mm in height) to enhance readability.
  • They have stainless steel construction to secure caliper components and provide accurate performance for an extended time.
  • They feature functions like zero-setting, origin set, data output and inch / mm conversion (on inch/metric models only).
  • These Mitutoyo digital calipers have an ABSOLUTE (ABS) linear scale that removes the requirement for setting the origin point every time the micrometer is turned on; overspeed errors are also removed.
  • They have an SPC output function that permits rapid and simple data management in real time.

Frequently Asked Questions

How precise is a digital caliper?

Digital calipers provide highly accurate measurements (to 0.0005 inch) of an object's outside diameter, inside diameter and depth. These digital calipers automatically convert between standard and metric measurement systems, feature an easy-to-read digital display and provide a superior level of accuracy to analogue sets.

What are the 4 ways of using a digital caliper?

Calipers provide four different ways to measure, each with incredible utility-outside diameter, inside diameter, depth and step.

What does ABS mean on a digital caliper?

ABS refers to Absolute Mode on a digital caliper.

How to zero digital calipers?

These digital calipers have a zero button for setting the reading to zero value at the time it is closed. Once closed, the caliper reads 0.000 inches and is ready for taking measurements.
