- This plate clamp is used mostly on steel sheets. It is not designed for stainless steel or aluminium plates.
- The sheet / plate must weigh at least the minimum uniform plate weight (MUPW) of the clamp. This Vestil EPC-10 plate clamp having 1000 lb capacity has a MUPW of 200 lb.
- The plate being lifted must be clean and free of oil.
- Lifting plates / sheets of the same thickness can cause wear in a specific region of the clamp gripper. Replace the clamp if required.
