Product Details:
Unitherm 1306 insulation pipe jacket is designed to reduce heat loss and insulate barrels, extruders, dies, hoses and pipe. It is composed of three layers. The inner layer (hot face) is made of silica cloth, the middle layer has a high-density ceramic fibre and the outer cover (cold face) is made of PTFE-coated fibreglass cloth.

- All the materials (silicon, ceramic and fibreglass) are capable of withstanding temperatures ranging from 550 to 2000 degrees F and enhance production capacity by reducing the amount of energy needed to keep equipment running smoothly at high temperatures.
- This UniVest jacket includes heavy-duty roller buckles for easy installation, removal and fastening of the jacket around the pipe.
- It can be used on equipment like process heaters, furnaces, natural gas pipeline compressors, internal combustion engines and more.

A. A silica cloth (the base fabric of an insulation jacket) provides resistance to most chemicals, has high dielectric strength and offers good thermal protection to temperatures up to 1800 degrees F.

A.
- Take a measuring tape and measure either the circumference or diameter of the portion to be insulated.
- Now measure the desired width of the application that needs insulation.
- Using the measurements, find the appropriate UniVest insulation jacket.
Q. Can more than one insulation jacket be used on an application?
A. Yes, it is possible to use more than one insulation jacket. Simply daisy chain multiple UniVest insulation jackets (two buckles on each side of units) together for added stability.
