Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What kind of grease is compatible with LubeSite 505?
A. This model can be used with any NLGI 0 to 4 non-separating grease.
Q. How do you install this corrosion-resistant grease feeder?
A.
- Remove the grease fitting from the machine or bearing housing. Check that the grease fitting's thread measures 1/8 inches.
- Connect a grease gun to the side grease fitting to fill the LubeSite unit with non-separating grease until it runs out of the base coupler.
- To ensure there are no air pockets, the first filling may be above the caution line.
- Install the unit on the equipment right away.
- Screw the LubeSite assembly into the grease fitting hole directly.
- The unit can be refilled while still attached to the equipment. This step should be completed before placing the seal ring on top of the base.
- Users can simply attach the grease gun to the grease fitting and refill it until the seal ring reaches the bottom edge of the caution label.
Q. What happens if you overfill LubeSite 500 grease feeder?
A. Do not overfill it as it can cause over-pressure, which can lead to separation of the top from the base, and hence, serious head or eye injury.
