Product Details:
Kingston 128A-2-000 safety valve is designed to open at a specific pressure to protect systems and equipment from exceeding stress limits. It is used in applications like food & beverage, dispensing and process control equipment.
Features:
- This pop safety valve features an elastomer (Buna-N / silicon / Viton) seal to provide zero leakage and resist high temperatures up to 225 degrees Fahrenheit and a pressure range of 1 - 300 psi.
- It features a stainless steel spring that exerts a force on the sensing element and acts to close the valve when the pressure has reached a safe level.
- It comes with an atmospheric vent that helps to discharge fumes and gas / steam to reduce the internal pressure and prevent damage.

Q. What mounting orientation is needed to install a safety valve?
A. Kingston safety valves should be installed vertically to ensure that the valve body is self-draining and correct set pressure is achieved. Installing a safety valve in any position other than vertical or upright may adversely affect the performance and cause damage to internal parts.
Q. What is the difference between orifice and inlet size?
A. The orifice diameter is the internal opening of the valve and is used to calculate the flow capacity of the valve. The inlet size, on the other hand, is the size / type of threads where the valve is attached. Kingston safety valves do not use a metric system and come in NPT (National Pipe Thread) inlet size.
Q. How to maintain the valve?
A. Take a visual inspection and check for clogged drains & drainage pipes, dirt buildup around the seat and broken, damaged or missing parts and seals.
