Q. What are the safety instructions while using an air impact wrench?

- Use personal protective equipment, including breathing apparatus, such as a dust mask, ear plugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, gloves, an apron and a hard hat.
- Never direct yourself to the air under pressure.
- When not in use or before maintaining, removing or installing, make sure to turn off the air supply, disconnect the air supply hose and bleed the air pressure.
- Shut off the compressed air before approaching a whipping hose.
- Never use a damaged or malfunctioned tool as well as do not modify any tool or safety devices.
- Exposed throttles should not be used.
- After being fitted with an impact wrench, connections requiring a certain torque must be tested using a torque metre.
