- Use a 1/2 inch socket or wrench to unbolt the padlock tab of the unit. Place the latch rod in the 'latched' position. Install a carriage bolt into the padlock tab and then install a padlock shackle into it using a locking nut.
- Open the unit's cover and slide the latch rod into the "open" position before locking the selected padlock.
- Close the unit's cover and move the latch rod to the 'latched' position.
