Pneumatic clampsutilise pneumatic cylinders for applying clamping pressure to hold down workpieces requiring repetitive clamping / unclamping. Destaco pneumatic toggle clamps are ideal for performing fixturing, testing, assembly & welding operations in automotive and food & packaging applications. Destaco 810 Seriespneumatic hold down clamps are pneumatic versions of 210 Series manual clamps. They are sensor ready for accommodating both round & T slot type sensors. These clamps feature built in flow restrictions, eliminating the need for external flow control. Destaco 810-S is equipped with a solid clamping bar for accommodating a spindle at a fixed position. It is actuated by an air actuated pneumatic cylinder that has a magnetic ring piston for smooth operation & position sensing. The pneumatic cylinder consumes 0.029 cubic feet of air through a 1/8 NPT port and can handle a maximum pressure of 10 bar. This pneumatic clamp provides a maximum load holding capacity of 750 lb. It is completely self contained & requires only a pressure source for user safety. This clamp base has threaded mounting holes for quick & easy installation on a horizontal surface / workpiece. Raptor Supplies also offers this clamp in variants having a U clamping bar to adjust the location of a spindle; a cylinder with a G-1/8 air port for supplying pressurised air.

Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What other variants of Destaco 810-S pneumatic hold down clamp are available on Raptor Supplies?
A. Raptor Supplies offers this pneumatic clamp in a variant having G-1/8 sized air port (Destaco 810-SE) and a variant having U bar & 600 lb holding capacity (Destaco 810-U).
Q. What are pneumatic toggle clamps?
A. Pneumatic toggle clamps feature the same basic design and operation as manual hold-down or straight-line toggle clamps, but are operated pneumatically. They are completely self-contained and require only a pressure source hook-up.
Q. Which grease is ideal for Destaco clamps for their rebuilding?
A. A coupling grease like Mobil XTC should be used when dealing with Destaco mechanical clamps, while the Magnalube G grease is great for use with pneumatic cylinder seals.
Q. What does holding capacity mean in terms of clamps?
A. The term "holding capacity" or the holding force indicates the capability of the clamp to hold down the equipment, workpiece or sheet metal on the assembly line or during other manufacturing processes.
Q. How is clamping force different from the holding force / capacity?
A. Clamping force or exerting force refers to the actual force that the clamp exerts onto the workpiece for holding it. The holding force or capacity provides a measure of the ideal strength of the clamp that is measured during the manufacturing process. The clamping force is generally lesser than the holding capacity, depending upon several factors like the position of spindles in the clamping bars and the opposing force applied on the clamp.
Q. Does the brand offer pneumatic hold down clamp in other configurations?
A. Destaco also offers a wide range of light & medium duty pneumatic clamps that are available in a range of configurations, styles and materials (aluminium / steel).
