Dayton 16W005 bench grinder / buffer is a stationary tool with an abrasive belt & wheel that spin at high speeds to smoothen or shape a workpiece. It is mounted to a workbench. The operator holds the workpiece with both hands against the spinning wheel or belt to shape or smoothen it.

- This grinder is suitable for alloys & carbon metals and is equipped with capacitor motors for supplying the extra current needed during start-up.
- It features dynamically balanced rotors & sealed bearings to ensure smooth running with minimal vibrations and OSHA-compliant wheel guards for added safety.
- This grinder provides an extended wheel-to-wheel clearance that allows long items to be grounded easily and has adjustable tools which rest for angular grinding & an efficient tilt.
- It delivers approximately 4 to 7 times longer duty cycles under loading conditions and 8 times lesser speed than most conventional bench grinders.
- This grinder offers a maximum wheel speed of 3450 rpm.
- It has spark guards and adjustable safety eye shields that are attached via hurricane bolts.
