Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What to do in case of drill press failure?
A. Assuming that the drill press is supplied with the correct power supply and is the correct choice for the desired hole size, the first thing to check is the status of the wiring connections. Users should also check & clean dirt or dust accumulated on the motor causing heating up of the motor. Motors, step pulley & belt drive should also be lubricated regularly for smooth operation. Users should take care that they do not run the drilling machines in a workpiece not suitable for drilling according to the product's operating manual. They should also check for wear & tear on the drill press parts.
Q. How is a bench drill press different from a floor drill press?
A. A bench drill press features shorter spindle travel compared to a floor-stand drill press and therefore can create holes in thinner metal workpieces.
Q. What is the voltage & current rating of this Dayton 16N196 bench drill press?
A. Dayton 16N196 bench drill press has a voltage rating of 120VAC & a current rating of 4.1A.
