Product Details:
Conrader NRP-A-1 pilot unloader check valve combines the function of a pilot valve, check valve and unloader valve to run an air compressor continuously. It is mostly used in gas-powered air compressors and even in electrical models.
Features:
- This piloted unloader valve protects the pump from the strain of working against pressure during engine startup, eliminating stress on the pump and enhancing operating life.
- The pilot valve maintains a set pressure range while the engine continues to run in between the cycles of the pump.
- An unloader valve, on the other hand, releases (or bleeds off) air to reduce the pressure that builds up in the pump. It mostly takes place when compressed air in the pump is not able to be stored in the tank or system when the maximum pressure is reached.
- The check valve is added to prevent backflow as the compressor builds pressure.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q. What is a poppet?
A. The NRP valve features a PTFE poppet that moves the valve seat to open or close during the operation and prevents contamination of the valve seat.
Q. What is an O-ring?
A. The valve's O-ring is made of Viton / Silicon and is used to block fluid in the valve and prevent fugitive emissions.
Q. What is the function of a check valve?
A. Conrader check valve is a one-way valve which lets the flow run freely one way, but if the flow turns, it closes to protect the internal parts from damage.
