Altronix NetWay4BT midspan injector is suitable for providing power & ethernet connection to PoE compliant connected devices (cameras / edge devices). It has built in short circuit protection for ensuring extended life and automatic detection & protection of non-PoE edge devices / cameras. This midspan injector is a 4-port networked managed midspan in a 1U rack enclosure. This Altronix midspan injector comes with plug & play style installation for ease of operation and port status indicating LEDs for monitoring real time connection status. It has a built in manual reset & master power disconnect circuit breaker for ensuring device safety. It provides PoE / PoE+ / Hi PoE up to 90W (802.3bt compliant) power per port (360W total max). This midspan injector is equipped with an integral battery charger for applications requiring backup and embedded LINQ technology to monitor, control and report power & diagnostics from anywhere over the network. It features an RJ45 port that transmits data over 4 pairs of CAT5e or higher structured cables at 10 / 100 / 1000 BaseT speed.

Installation:

• Altronix NetWay4BT midspan injector is suited for indoor use only and must be installed within protected premises.
• For rack or wall mount installation, users will have to attach mounting brackets to Altronix NetWay4BT. Affix rubber pads to Altronix NetWay4BT for shelf installation.
• The unit is to be installed in a space where the maximum ambient temperature does not exceed 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
• It comes with a grounded AC line cord that can be plugged into the IEC 320 connector of the unit. Plug the unit into an earth grounded socket. (Note: The user should ensure that while using multiple units, the sum of the individual name plate ratings should not exceed the supply circuit rating. Do not connect to a receptacle controlled by a switch.)
• Two structured cables are used to link the [IN] port to a UL-listed ethernet switch or a video server and the [OUT] port to a powered device.
• Then, connect four 12VDC batteries in series to terminals marked [+ BAT -], carefully observing polarity. (Note: When batteries have not been used, a loss of AC will result in a loss of output voltage.)
