Working Mechanism

  • These hoses have flare style fittings on each ends for making connections.
  • The hose's ends are connected to inlet / outlet ports of vacuum pumps on one end and to the HVAC system on the other end.
  • The fittings are screwed onto the pump's & HVAC system's ports without additional tools.
  • Yellow Jacket vacuum hoses have colour coded protective jackets to connect particular colour hose to selected inlet / outlet port, thereby preventing mismatching.
  • Selected models having integrated ball valves regulate the refrigerant pressure with precision.

Features

  • They have nylon permeation barrier for safely conducting CFC, HFC and HCFC type refrigerants.
  • Their moisture layer / barrier provides resistance against moisture migration, thereby preventing refrigerant contamination.
  • They have braided layer for preventing hose from breaking / cracking by excessive bending.
  • Their outer rubber cover prevents liquids from penetrating inside the hose.
  • They have flare fittings for enabling easy installation without additional tools.
  • Selected models have compact ball valve ends for manually stoping the refrigerant flow through the hose in case of emergencies.

Compatible Accessories

  • Manifold Gauge Sets: They are connected to vacuum gauges for checking the connected system's pressure.

Standards and Approvals

  • UL

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the burst pressure rating of these hoses?

Yellow Jacket vacuum hoses are capable of operating under 3000 or 4000 PSI burst pressures.

Why are charging hoses angled?

These hoses have angled fittings to enable connection in tight spaces. Angled tips are ideal for both recharging and maintenance tasks.

How to check vacuum hoses?

Users must check for small tears and cracks at hose ends. The fitting's internal threads should be examined for wear and the hose should be checked for bulges indicating torn internal layers.

Are vacuum hoses universal?

Yes, vacuum systems have outlet holes that measure 2.5 inches in diameter. The screw-on fittings on these vacuum hoses can be easily installed on 2.5 inch diameter holes.

What are manifold gauges?

These gauges are used with vacuum hoses while recharging or repairing cooling systems. The vacuum hoses connect these gauges with the HVAC system to check both high & low refrigerant pressure for leak detection, measuring refrigerant volume and troubleshooting tasks.

What are low loss fittings?

These low loss, anti blowback fittings are used on Yellow Jacket vacuum hoses to trap the refrigerant inside the hose when disconnected. It prevents finger burns and the release of toxic refrigerants into the atmosphere.
