SHAW PLUGS Wing-Nut Mechanical Expansion Plugs, 1 to 2 Inch
Shaw wing-nut mechanical expansion plugs minimise pressure from the fluid to permit change or expansion of a state from fluid to vapour. They are also used as low-pressure seals in circular openings.
Working Mechanism
- The plug valve rotates between the closed and open positions to shield both seals from the flow channel.
- To prevent wear or abrasion, there is no contact between the body and seals while the valve is open.
- It expands onto the body seat when the valve is closed.
Features
- Shaw mechanical expansion plugs (72003 & 72005 models) have a wing-nut for testing leaks and sealing off sections of pipelines.
- They feature a zinc-plated steel body with neoprene rubber for superior strength & corrosion resistance.
Standards and Approvals
- ISO 14001
