Working Mechanism

  • RIDGID tube benders have an adjustment dial that needs to be set based on the size of the tube.
  • When making more than one bend on a single tube, mark the tube with a longitudinal line as a reference point.
  • Ensure that this line is always in the opposite direction of the bend direction you intend to achieve.
  • Align the tube into the bender and insert it to ensure that the reference marks you made are always visible.
  • Start bending by gripping the roll support arm firmly and bringing it down until the bending die indicates you've reached the desired degree mark.
  • Lift the roll support arm up to remove the tube from the die. You can then take out the finished tube from the bender.

Features

  • RIDGID tube benders are designed to bend steel tubes (up to 1/8 inches wall thickness), stainless steel tubes (up to 3/32 inches wall thickness) and hard copper water tubes (Types K and L).
  • They produce uniform bends up to 180 degrees (no anneal tubing or use of special temper grade tubing is required).
  • The high-geared design is easy to operate.
  • These tools are marked with inch and metric sizes.
