Working Mechanism
- Turn On the meter and press the time weighting button to select the desired response time.
- Set the response to FAST (125 ms) if the sound source has only short bursts.
- Select SLOW (1 s) for average sound level measurement.
- Press the frequency weighting button to adjust the frequency.
- Press the 'Hi/Lo' button to select the appropriate range.
- If the display flashes the OVER icon (after setting the range), adjust the range again.
- Hold the instrument in one hand (away from the body) or place it on a tripod for long-term monitoring.
- Point the microphone in the sound direction to take a measurement.
