Working Mechanism
- Use the positive locking device function for securing two or more parts together.
- These safety wires are installed on fasteners using either the single strand or double twist method.
- The double twist method involves twisting the wires through an arc of 180 degrees.
- The single-strand method involves the formation of closed geometrical patterns & closely spaced parts in an electrical system.
- The wires should be pulled tight while twisting (without overstressing).
- After wounding, their ends must be crimped and bent.
- These safety wires prevent the fasteners from loosening by counteracting them with further tightening.
- Lockwires should not be installed since they result in chafing and fatigue due to vibration.
