What are the advantages of nighttime shut-off?
During the nighttime, it gets difficult to see upcoming vehicles from a distance. If a driver uses a flasher in such conditions, it will reduce the oncoming drivers' visibility and might lead to accidents. This headlight flasher unit comes with an automatic nighttime shut-off to avoid mishappenings.
How to install these flashers?
- Use the flasher as a template to mark the centre of the two mounting holes.
- Drill two holes and use the supplied mounting hardware to mount the flasher.
- Connect the green wire from the flasher to a reliable ground (preferably close to the ground post of the battery).
- Locate the power supply wire (on either the passenger-side or driver-side high-beam headlight) and cut approximately 10 to 12 inches from the headlight.
- Connect the yellow wire to the cut wire that returns to the headlight.
- Connect the blue wire to the other piece of the cut wire that provides power to the opposite high-beam headlight.
- Connect the white wire through the supplied fuse and fuse holder to a power source capable of providing 15
How to switch the flashing pattern?
- Touch the red / black wire to the ground.
- The flasher will display the next flash pattern in the pre-determined sequence.
- Remove the wire from the ground when the flasher shows the desired flash pattern to avoid being hit by the subsequent flash pattern.
- Fold and seal the red / black wire after selecting the desired pattern.
