EATON H-Max Series Variable Frequency Drives, FR4
Eaton H-Max Series variable frequency drives (VFDs) are adjustable speed drives that change the frequency of the electrical power supplied to control an electric motor's speed in fans, conveyors, pumps & other electrical equipment. These FR4 versions are a 3-phase VFD with power ranging from 1....5 to 5.5kW (2 to 7.5 horsepower). These drives have a compact design and offer overvoltage, undervoltage & overcurrent protection for efficient operation. In addition to its control and protection functions, the H-Max Series VFDs decrease energy consumption and operating costs.Read more
Working Mechanism
- Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) change the incoming alternating current (AC) into direct current (DC) and then use an inverter to convert the DC back into AC power at a different frequency.
- The frequency of the AC power can be adjusted using the inverter's switching rate.
- Users can increase the VFD's frequency to increase the speed of the motor and decrease the frequency to reduce the speed of the motor.
Features
- Eaton H-Max Series variable frequency drives have built-in electronic bypass capability for controlling the bypass circuit using a keypad, digital input or BMS communications & in-fault conditions.
- Their top & bottom entry panels are removable and terminals are easily accessible for quick connections.
- These VFDs have an ambient temperature operating range of up to 50 degrees C.
Standards and Approvals
- IEC 61800-5-1
- UL 508C
- cUL
