Working Mechanism

  • These protectors include an undervoltage trip that consists of a small electromechanical device.
  • The device is sensitive to changes in voltage levels and is used to protect the circuit breaker in the event of a voltage loss.
  • When the voltage drops below the set threshold, the electromechanical device triggers the auxiliary contact block, which in turn trips the FAZ breakers.
  • This trip also prevents circuit breakers from operating unless voltage is present.

Features

  • These supplementary protectors have a compact design and can be easily added or removed as needed, without the need to replace the MCB.
  • They can be installed using a DIN rail mounting method in conjunction with jaw and lift clamps to offer convenience and ease of installation.
  • They are also designed to withstand temperatures between -5 and 40 degrees Celsius.

Standards and Approvals

  • IEC
  • UL
  • CSA

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the use of a miniature circuit breaker?

A miniature circuit breaker provides protection against faulty currents, such as short circuits or overloads. It is designed to protect the wiring and other components in the circuit from overheating and potential hazards.

What is the function of the jaw and lift clamps?

Jaw clamps have a pair of jaws that open or close to grip and hold DIN rails securely. This provides a steady and strong base for supplementary protectors when installed on circuit breakers. Lift clamps, on the other hand, allows easy removal of the protectors from the DIN rails during maintenance or troubleshooting.

What is the IP40 enclosure rating?

According to the IP40 enclosure rating, the FAZ Series supplementary protectors are protected from the ingress of solid objects and are used indoors to eliminate the risk of exposure to water or other liquids.
