Working Mechanism

  • When the spool is in operating in one position, it blocks fluid flow in that direction and allows fluid to pass through the other port.
  • When the spool is moved to another position, the flow also gets redirected.

Features

  • They are equipped with a spool which helps to start, stop and change the direction of the flow of fluids through the valve.
  • They are made of steel to offer durability and impact resistance and withstand temperatures ranging from -40 to 120 degrees Celsius.
  • They further feature screw-in-cartridge type installation that minimises leakage points and provides an increased ability to withstand vibrations.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the advantage of Buna-N seals in Eaton directional control valves?

Buna-N seals provide a barrier between the moving parts inside the valve and the fluid being controlled. These seals also keep contaminants away from the valve to ensure smooth operation.

What is the difference between a flow control valve and directional control valve?

The flow control valve controls the speed of fluids in the hydraulic circuit, while a directional control valve changes the flow direction by using an actuator.
