EATON Control Wire Terminal Kits
Eaton control wire terminal kits are used as accessories to connect wires to Eaton moulded case circuit breakers. These kits consist of a pack of 12 control wire terminals and 12 screws. The F-frame control wire terminals must only be used with steel collars for a reliable connection.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to assemble the control wire terminal in the circuit breaker?
- Remove 5/16 inch long collar mounting screw.
- Insert terminal between the bottom of the conductor and collar.
- Insert 3/8 inch long replacement screw through the collar, terminal and conductor.
- Now, tighten the screw into the nut, creating a secure connection.
- Do not remove the control wire terminal without reinstalling the screw as this might cause the cable to loosen up and overheat.
What is a moulded case circuit breaker?
A moulded case circuit breaker (MCCB) is a type of electrical protection device that protects the circuit from damage due to overloading or short circuits. It features a thermal or magnetic trip mechanism that detects the fault condition and activates the breaker to open the contacts, thereby interrupting the flow.
