Features

  • The 9000X Series factory-installed control board configuration consists of an A9 I/O board and an A2 relay output board (installed in slots A and B).
  • The board is designed to provide standard analogue and digital inputs / outputs, Fieldbus capability and application-specific hardware.
  • These control units accommodate up to five option boards that plug into the five slot connectors (A to E) of the control board to customise the drive for the required application.
  • They operate with the help of a control keypad that links the user and the SPX9000 drive. With the help of the keypad, the user can set parameter values, read status information and issue control commands.

Frequently Asked Questions

How to install an option board to a control unit?

  • Remove the utility line and control power from the 9000X Series drive to prevent the risk of board damage.
  • Install the option board in the correct slot of the control board.
  • To install / remove the board, hold it in a horizontally straight position to avoid twisting the connector pins.
  • Ensure that the board fits tightly in the metal clamp and plastic groove. If not, confirm that the correct slot is being used for the installation of the board.
  • Check the jumper settings on the board and close the control unit cover.

What is the function of SVX Series variable frequency drives?

Eaton SVX Series variable frequency drives offer sensorless vector control technology coupled with an adaptive motor design and enhanced ASIC circuit features. This technology allows for steady speed error, fast torque rise time, high immunity to resonance vibrations and high starting torque and current.

What is the benefit of using SPX variable frequency drives?

Eaton SPX variable frequency drives are ideal for applications requiring reliability, high dynamic response, precision and power. Their sturdy design includes features integrated chokes and EMC filters, providing effective protection against interference from the grid. They are used in lifting equipment and conveyances (cranes, winches, elevators / lifts), compressors & oil pumps, chippers, crushers, mixers and tunnel boring machines.
