EATON 50 Series Enhanced Photoelectric Sensors
Eaton 50 Series enhanced photoelectric sensors are used in high shock & vibration environments for detecting the presence or absence of objects. These photoelectric sensors use a LED and a photodetector to transmit and receive a beam of light for precise sensing. These sensors can be customised... using three output types, four time-delay functions, six sensing modes and four connection types.Read more
Working Mechanism
- Eaton 50 Series enhanced photoelectric sensors transmit and receive a light beam using a light-emitting diode and a photodetector.
- The photodetector, on the other side of the sensing area, is illuminated by a beam of light emitted by the LED.
- A photodetector cannot detect light when there is an object blocking the light beam in the sensing area.
- The photodetector uses this variation in light intensity to determine whether an object is present or absent.
Features
- Eaton 50 Series enhanced photoelectric sensors feature 4 logic options ON-delay, OFF-delay, ON/OFF-delay and oneshot delay.
- They feature a 3A SPDT relay on the output section for electrical protection.
- These photoelectric sensors have adjustable sensitivity of the sensor to optimise their performance.
- They have brackets for easy mounting and to allow precise adjustment of sensor alignment.
- These photoelectric sensors feature fully potted construction to withstand harsh industrial environments.
- They offer a light / dark mode selection for using them in daylight as well as in dark.
Standards and Approvals
- CSA
- CE
- RoHS
Frequently Asked Questions
What are the different sensing modes available for Eaton 50 Series enhanced photoelectric sensors?
These 50 Series enhanced photoelectric sensors offer thru beam, reflex, polarised reflex, diffuse reflective, clear object and fibre optic sensing modes.
What is the difference between photoelectric sensors and proximity sensors?
Photoelectric sensors use light beams for detecting objects, whereas proximity sensors use capacitive fields or electromagnetic to detect the presence of objects.
