Drum Pumps

Dayton drum pumps are electric-powered, hand-operated or air-powered devices that are mainly designed to pump fluids from drums or containers. They decrease the risk of spills and also, decrease product waste by permitting fluid to be removed from barrels that are too heavy or large to be tipped for pouring. These pumps are provided with an intake hose or tube that easily fits through the opening of a container to dip into the fluid within. Choose from a range of these drum pumps, available in 3.7, 4.76 and 10.6 GPM flow rate options.

Working Mechanism

  • Mount the compressed air-operated pumps on a normally sealed metal drum.
  • Connect them through the large bung hole on the drum to a stand pipe.
  • Attach a hose to the standpipe and other attachments to handle the liquid.
  • A vacuum is created in two-way units by the drum pump which draws the liquid into the drum.
  • The air can be reversed via a knob on the drum pump to pressurise the drum and push the liquid out of it through the bottom of the standpipe.

Features

  • They are powered by a compressed air supply to draw out fluids from a container.
  • They are constructed with high corrosion-resistant materials that protect from acidic and basic chemical concentrations.
  • They are used to drain fuel tanks and remove spent fluids from vehicles and engine-powered machinery.
  • The brand offers both single-acting and double-acting pumps with outlet discharge ranging from 3.7 GPM to 10.6 GPM.
  • Dayton offers drum pumps in either stainless steel or a combination of aluminium and steel for durability.
