APOLLO VALVES Ball Valves, Bronze

Apollo bronze ball valves are the isolation or quarter-turn shut-off valves that regulate the flow of a liquid or gas. They are perfect for the direct connection of hoses. In the oil and natural gas industries, they are used to control flow and pressure as well as shut off corrosive fluids, slu...rries, regular liquids and gases.Read more

Working Mechanism

  • The valve opens or closes when it is turned 90 degrees by either a manual handle or by actuation.
  • When the valve is open, the ball's hole is parallel to the direction of flow.
  • The lever handle on the valve should be parallel to the pipe when it is open and perpendicular to the pipe when it is closed.
  • This makes figuring out the valve's position state simple.

Features

  • Apollo bronze ball valves are flow control devices that regulate the flow of liquid through them using a hollow, perforated and pivoting ball.
  • They have RPTFE seats and a stuffing box ring.
  • Heavy strength machined hose thread covers with chains are included on valves to prevent loss.
  • Selected models have stainless steel levers and stem nuts to prevent corrosion.
  • They have a NPT or solder end with 3/4 inch NPSH.
  • They feature a recognisable blue "Lead Free" hangtag for easy identification.

Standards and Approvals

  • ISO 9001:2008

Frequently Asked Questions

What are ball valves ideal for?

To control the flow, ball valves use a metal ball with a hole drilled through its centre that is positioned between two seats. These ball valves can throttle gases and vapours and are appropriate for low flow applications in the processing of hydrocarbons.

Can these ball valves be installed in vertical directions?

Apollo bronze ball valves can be put both vertically and horizontally because they are bi-directional.
