Frequently Asked Questions

What is the purpose of these scale bars?

These scale bars hold the gasket material in place and measure the set radius of the cutting blade. A hole is punched into the very centre of the cutting material and the cut hole is passed through the threaded rod on the scale bar, followed by securing with a knurled nut. The distance between the cutting blade and the threaded rod end of the scale bar is the radius of the gasket.

How to install these scale bars?

The rotary gasket cutters have a small space for sliding in the scale bar. This space allows to & fro motion of the bar for adjusting the gasket radius. After installing the bar, a handle screw is used to keep the scale bar in place.
