Apollo 38-200 Series atmospheric type vacuum breakers are employed in water supply systems to prevent backflow and maintain the integrity of potable water. They are installed at irrigation systems, faucets and hose bibs to safeguard against contamination by preventing the reverse flow of non-potable water into the clean water supply. These vacuum breakers offer an atmospheric design that allows air to enter the system, breaking the vacuum created by water flow interruption and mitigating the risk of cross-connections.
