Single-phase transformers operate on single-phase AC power that converts a convenient voltage into much higher voltage and distributes the power supply for use in lighting & power applications. These units are integrated with primary and secondary windings that are ground shielded for safe operation and help to transfer electric energy through electromagnetic induction between two coils.
