Shepherd Casters manufactures plate casters for medium-duty mobility applications in store fixtures and material handling equipment. These casters feature a heat-treated steel construction with RoHS-compliant zinc plating for extended durability, and polyurethane / thermoplastic rubber wheels with a dual ball bearing raceway to ensure even load distribution. Selected models also feature an NSF-approved thread guard to help prevent entangling of debris into the wheels. These Shepherd caster wheels are capable of bearing loads up to 315 lb (142.88 kg) and temperatures up to 180 degrees Fahrenheit. These casters are available in A-, C- and D-plate mounting options on Raptor Supplies.

Plate Casters
Plate casters are used for applications with load ratings ranging from 45 to 11339 kg, ideal for large scale warehouses, workshops and industries. Raptor Supplies offers a wide range of bolt hole, rigid plate, swivel plate and pneumatic casters from leading manufacturers like Albion, Vestil, Dayton, Blickle, Caster Connection and Hamilton. Vestil industrial casters are made of proprietary glass filled nylon for durability in harsh industrial environments. These plate casters provide better impact resistance than standard glass filled nylon versions and better floor preservation than cast iron / steel variants. They resist most gases, chemicals, solvents & acids and are equipped with a durometer for easy rollability. Dayton caster kits contain parts for replacing worn or damaged casters. These kits include two rigid plate casters and two swivel plate casters that can be used together to allow the equipment to both swerve around curves and maintain a straight course while rolling. They come equipped with kingpins that securely join the caster's mounting plates to the frames.
