Suspended Vertical Hydronic Wall & Ceiling Unit Heaters
Dayton suspended vertical hydronic heater units provide primary or supplementary heating by pushing and spreading the heated air. They are suspended from a wall or ceiling to spread the air evenly. These units store water, which is then heated by passing a current through rectangular coils and circulated with a maximum rate of 75 PSI. They feature a totally enclosed motor capable of producing a maximum power output of 3 HP. The heater units are ETL & ETLc listed and complies with OSHA standards for safe use. Choose from a wide range of unit heaters, available in single and three phase variants on Raptor Supplies.

Hydronic Unit Heaters
Hydronic unit heaters utilize non-potable hot water or steam produced by a boiler, indirect water heater. Dayton heaters save floor space and are therefore commonly used in large areas like manufacturing facilities, warehouses and garages. These heaters are capable of pushing heated air horizontally and vertically and spread it across a larger area. Choose from a broad range of these Dayton hydronic heating units, available in 11000 cfm, 500 cfm, 450 cfm, 395 cfm and 245 cfm air flow options.
Working Mechanism
- Hot water is produced by a central boiler for heating the water to the required temperature.
- The hot water is then circulated through a series of heating coils / radiators within the unit heater.
- The heat from the hot water is then transferred to the surrounding air through the heating coils.
- A fan or blower inside the unit heater circulates the warm air into the heated space.
- The cooled water then returns to the central boiler for reheating and the cycle repeats.
- The temperature of the hot water is then controlled by adjusting the temperature setting on the central boiler and the amount of heat produced by the unit heater can be adjusted by controlling the flow of hot water through the heating coils or radiators.
