Eaton Bussman 1000 VAC fuses are designed in accordance with CE and UL standards to protect semiconductor components, such as diodes, silicon controlled rectifiers (SCRs), GTOs & IGBTs from overload damage. These high-speed fuses feature a fibreglass / ceramic body that facilitates enhanced thermal dissipation rates, thereby making them ideal for use in high current cycling environments. They are capable of delivering the lowest let-thru energy ratings, as compared to other branch circuit overcurrent protective device. The standard Class J dimensional configuration of these fuses allows them to be used in conjunction with fuse blocks, holders and switches. Offered in fuse amp ratings of up to 2000 A, these non-indicating fuses can also be used with an indicating fuse block / cover for identifying a blown fuse.

Bussmann high speed semiconductor fuses (Series KAC) are fast-acting, non-indicating semiconductor fuses which open instantly when exposed to overloads and short circuits. They are also called fast-blow semiconductor fuses and are extremely sensitive to changes in current flow and don't tolerate temporary overload currents or power surges. These semiconductor fuses are not provided with any indicator for identifying a blown fuse, so they are sometimes used with an indicating fuse block or cover. These UL listed semiconductor fuses provide overcurrent protection for solid-state components such as diodes and thyristors in variable-speed drives, uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs), power rectifiers and other power electronics applications. Bussmann fast-acting FWP Series semiconductor fuses are highly sensitive fuses designed to provide current limitation and cycling performance which combine high-speed tripping with full-range protection. They are made from fibreglass or ceramic in compact sizes, thus making them ideal for limited footprint applications. They feature a single element which fulfils the need for both overload and short-circuit protection. The high-speed fuses by Bussmann are UL-listed and IEC-certified and offer mounting capabilities with CH fuse holders. They are available in current ratings ranging from 10 to 1000 A at 700 VAC / VDC and interrupt rating of 200 kA at 700 VAC.
