These large-sized lag screws have external hex heads & thick stems for easy installation using a wrench, while eliminating slippage & breaking.
Features
- They are divided mainly into 2 parts: the head and the threaded portion.
- The external hex head is ideal for installation / removal using a wrench or hex driver.
- The threaded section generally has spaced threads (coarse threading) and a sharp point for securely gripping wooden boards, studs & soft materials.
- Snap-Loc lag screws have a fully threaded body with a built-in washer head for distributing loads over a large area.
- Selected models are partially threaded and have a shoulder instead of a fully threaded shank / body to protect them from loosening. They prevent breakage / bending due to friction-induced overheating or sideway forces.
