DWYER INSTRUMENTS Differential Pressure Gauges

Dwyer Instruments differential pressure gauges are visual indicators designed to measure and illustrate the difference between two pressure points within a process system. These gauges offer a full-scale accuracy of 2% while measuring positive, negative or differential pressure values. The unique design of these units is capable of resisting shock, vibration and over-pressures with no manometer fluid to evaporate and freeze, as well as cause toxic or levelling problems. They are also suitable for checking the gas-air ratio control and monitoring blood and respiratory pressures in medical care equipment. Choose from a range of these differential pressure gauges available in 4 inch and 4-1/2 inch dial sizes on Raptor Supplies.

Features

  • Dwyer Series 2000 Magnehelic differential pressure gages uses frictionless Magnehelic gage movement for accurate measurements without requiring any power at low costs.
  • They are used during monitoring of filter, air velocity, blower vacuum, fan pressure & area pressures.
  • These Magnehilic gauges have die-cast aluminium casing and bezel & acrylic covering with IP67 rating.
  • They have 2 pairs of 1/8 inch female NPT connections (1 pair each of high and low-pressure taps).
  • Their break-resistant plastic face with precision litho-printed scale provides clear reading visibility even from a distance.
  • Their blowout plug vents the interior in case of overpressures.
  • Dwyer Series A3000 Photohelic switches / gauges combine the benefits of pressure switches to the Magnehilic gauges and are ideal for air conditioning systems, clean rooms & fume exhaust systems.
  • These Dwyer pressure gauges are equipped with two phototransistor-actuated DPDT relays for low & high-pressure limit control using knobs located on the gauge face.
  • Gauge reading of these switches remains unaffected by switch operation, even without electrical power.
  • These switches / gauges accept 10A current at 28VDC or 120 / 240VAC supply through their screw terminals.
  • Their glass-epoxy printed circuit boards & plastic enclosure protect the electrical circuits & ensure durability.
  • They feature switch set pointers that display the switch set point settings at all times and their spring-loaded friction clutch protects the set point mechanism from operator damages.

Working Mechanism

  • For Dwyer Series 2000 Magnehelic differential pressure gages, set the gauge pointer on the zero mark by adjusting the screw at the bottom of the cover after the high & low-pressure taps are opened to the atmosphere.
  • During positive pressure, connect tubing from the source to one of the high-pressure ports and then vent the low-pressure ports to the atmosphere.
  • During negative pressure, connect the vacuum tubing source to the low-pressure port & then vent the high-pressure ports to the atmosphere.
  • Durng differential pressure, connect the greater pressure source to high-pressure port and lower pressure source to low-pressure port.
  • After ensuring that unused ports are plugged, the units show the correct pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do these Dwyer pressure gauges require maintenance?

These Dwyer pressure gauges require no lubrication or periodic servicing. Users just need to keep the case exterior & cover clean and disconnect the pressure lines sometimes to vent gauges to the atmosphere for re-zeroing.

How to install Dwyer Series 2000 Magnehelic differential pressure gages?

  • Select a mounting position that is free from excess vibration & direct sunlight and temperature is below 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
  • Longer tubing lengths may not affect the accuracy but can increase the response time.
  • Use supplied mounting hardware / machine screws to secure the gauge in place. Users need to buy an optional A-610 pipe mounting kit for mounting the unit on a pipe.

What accessories are compatible with these Dwyer pressure gauges?

These Dwyer pressure gauges are compatible with differential pressure switches that control the flow rate / volume passing through the system. They can also accommodate tubing & mounting adapters for quick connections & installations.
