Dayton Class 2 transformers are used in low voltage applications, such as digital controllers, gas controls, motor actuators, ignition systems, staging controls and HVACR control systems. Selected models come with thermal circuit breakers to protect equipment and internal components from current overload and short circuit conditions. They feature plate / frame / enclosed type transformer enclosure that allows application in specific conditions and can easily replace any existing transformer with the same primary and secondary voltages / VA ratings (equal / less than original). Choose from an array of these transformers, available in heights of 1.9 and 2.1 inches.

Class 2 Transformers
Class 2 transformers deliver power of 100 VA or less with a maximum output voltage of 30 VAC or less. Raptor Supplies offers a huge range of transformers from brands like Altronix, Dayton, Edwards Signaling, Functional Devices / RIB, Johnson Controls, Robertshaw, Square D and White-Rodgers. Dayton Class 2 transformers are designed for gas valves, thermostats & relays.They feature a fixed apparent power rating of 40 VA and are UL & cULus listed for use in electrical components. These transformers can be used to replace any other transformer of the same primary & secondary voltages and of equal or smaller power ratings. Single phase Class 2 transformers from Functional Devices / RIB are available with single / dual threaded hubs and pigtail wires. These transformers utilise split-bobbin construction for superior isolation and low capacitive coupling. These transformers are available in enclosed, indoor and open enclosures.
