About Midwest Acorn Nut
Midwest Acorn Nut Co. has been manufacturing high-quality customised fasteners conforming to global industry standards for more than 60 years. The company offers chrome-plated & polished stainless steel fasteners, bolt covers, zinc-plated steel spacers, motorcycle & auto engine kits, commercial acorn nuts, valve stem caps, and Class 8 truck & license plate kits. The company's nylon insert hex lock nuts feature low-carbon steel construction with chrome finish to offer maximum wear resistance and withstand harsh industrial abuse. The nylon insert has a slightly smaller inner diameter than the main diameter of the nut and is placed at the end of the nut to resist turning. Midwest Acorn also offers split lock washers that feature high carbon steel construction with chrome finish for improved strength & durability. These washers further feature Rockwell hardness ranging from C38 to C46 and are used to expand the surface area. These washers distribute the force of tightening the nut and are available in 3/8, 5/16 and 1/4 inch sizes.
