Gas Springs and Dampers Extension & standard struts, with extendable lengths up to 36.82 inches, designed to resist longitudinal and tensile stresses in aeronautics and architectural structures. Feature a mechanical spring technology that requires just compressed air for operation and offer a smoother operation, as compared to traditional gas struts
About M-struts
m-Struts (mechanical struts), a product line of Barnes Group Inc., includes a comprehensive line of seal-less, gas-less and oil-less mechanical struts. These struts feature a design similar to conventional compression gas springs and are available in standard, traction and self-centering configurations. They have an ordinary wire compression spring instead of gas or gasket and perform a mechanical operation, thereby eliminating the risk of leakage. These mechanical struts are available in stainless-steel and carbon-steel variants, with options in cylinder diameter, length and rod thread size. They offer excellent performance in extremely hot and cold temperatures and are used instead of gas springs in structures that are prone to impacts and vibrations.
