Cherne's Rupture Disc Technology is used in Pneumatic Test Ball & Muni-Ball pipe plugs to prevent over-inflation due to faulty gauges. These devices activate at 60 percent over the stated inflation pressure to prevent the chances of plug explosion & cording damage, ensuring user safety.
Test Ball plugs do not feature a bypass and can only block (seal) a pipe. A Muni Ball plug, on the other hand, features a bypass tube running through the plug to bypass effluent through the tube. It can be converted for air testing using an adapter cap and can also block a pipe.
