They feature direct-drive pumps that require limited space and less maintenance, unlike traditional water jets. These innovated Hammelmann pumps with high volume enable the system to run on a 100% duty cycle at high system pressures. Traditional water jets tend to blow out or chip the surface of brittle material when piercing initially, whereas Baileigh's direct-drive systems come with powertrains located behind the Hammelmann pump, which can pierce stone at minimum pressures to prevent damage. These water jets don't have a hydraulic system, thus eliminating the need for a cooling system.
